Puer Natus Est Nobis,  Francis Poulenc’s ravishing Quatre petites prières de Saint François d’Assise, the well-loved Ave Maria of Franz Biebl, along with carols old and new for organ, chorus and audience. The centerpiece of our final concert of the season will be Aaron Copland’s tour de force setting of the creation story, In The Beginning. The program will also feature works by Randall Thompson (Alleluia and Farewell), Samuel Barber (Reincarnations), Morten Lauridsen (Nocturnes) and Stephen Paulus. Solo songs for mezzo-soprano by Copland and Barber will round out this feast of 20th Century American music.
