Spectrum Singers

John W. Ehrlich, Music Director

40 voices, SATB, highly skilled and experienced singers, known for virtuosity and tone in very demanding a cappella works as well as accompanied works.

The Spectrum Singers perform choral music from the pre-Renaissance through the present day, in a broad range of music styles, emphasizing seldom-heard works by master composers at a level of historically-informed professionalism.

November 23 – Bravura Bach! features the St. Michael and All Angel cantatas, and Magnificat in D. On March 14, it’s our 40th Anniversary Concert, showcasing the chorus’s favorite music from past concerts. On May 16 our 3-year cycle of Haydn’s great masses comes to a spectacular end with the Harmoniemesse, along with Stravinsky’s serene 1944/48 Mass. The November and May concerts feature full orchestra and professional soloists. For full season and audition information, visit our website. Note that transportation for both the audition and rehearsals can be arranged for those who need it from the Alewife T station, just a few minutes by car from our rehearsal venue.
