Spectrum Singers


John W. Ehrlich, Music Director

40 voices, SATB, highly skilled and experienced singers, known for virtuosity and tone in very demanding a cappella works as well as accompanied works.

The Spectrum Singers perform choral music from the pre-Renaissance through the present day, in a broad range of music styles, emphasizing seldom-heard works by master composers at a level of historically-informed professionalism.

2017-2018 season: Nov. 18, “A Baroque Christmas Prelude”: Charpentier, Buxtehude, Hammerschmidt, JM Bach, Dering, with baroque instruments; Mar. 17 Haydn “Paukenmesse” and Schubert “Magnificat in C major” with soprano Teresa Wakim, soprano, Thea Lobo, alto, Charles Blandy, tenor and Sumner Thompson, baritone; May 19 Dvorak “Mass in D major” with Heinrich Christensen, organ and Frank Martin “Mass for Double Choir a cappella.” All concerts at 8 PM, 1st Cong Camb. $45/$30/$15. spectrumsingers.org
