About the Chorus

Founded in 2010, the 70-voice Jameson Singers has become one of the premiere vocal ensembles in the Boston area. Under the leadership of its Music Director, Dr. Kevin Leong, we are committed to the excellent intonation, unified ensemble, and inspired, communicative singing for which it has gained critical acclaim. Each season, Jameson Singers performs several concerts of choral-orchestral and smaller works of music from the Renaissance to the present. We hold auditions in September and January and meet for rehearsals at Payson Park Church in Belmont. For more information, please visit our website, where you can join our mailing list, and find us on Facebook.

The stated mission of the Jameson Singers is: (1) To give talented amateur vocal musicians the opportunity to perform choral music at the highest level. (2) To enrich the Boston-area community by high-level performances of choral music from a range of musical periods and styles. (3) To educate singers and audience members about the rich choral repertoire. (4) To collaborate with vocal soloists and instrumentalists in performance, and with composers in the creation of new choral works.
