About the Chorus

Golden Tones chorus is a group of almost 70 retired (but young-at-heart) people who love to sing and dance.  We present fun shows with singing, dancing and humor and take these shows where they are most needed in the community, particularly to senior citizen residences.  We also perform in schools, faith communities, and at public events – almost 50 concerts a year, reaching more than 2,000 people. While we’re at it, we socialize together and care for one another. Singing together creates a community, as we support one another to keep learning, and encourage each other to stay active, healthy and creative.

Our official mission statement reads: “The mission of Golden Tones chorus is to practice and provide enriching entertainment for senior citizen facilities, schools, faith communities and public events. Members are men and women of retirement age who sing and dance to lift spirits, have fun, and promote health and social engagement to benefit our audiences and ourselves.”
