~ 36 Treble voices – SSAA – non-professional experienced women’s voices

Dedicated to exploring the treble chorus repertoire, from well-known classics to rare gems, Cantilena places special emphasis on new music and commissions, as well as works by women composers and poets.

Cantilena prepares two concerts per year. Fall semester begins in September, concluding in an early December concert. Spring semester begins in January, with an early May concert. Additional performances of the season’s repertoire are determined on a semester-to-semester basis.

Carrying the Torch: Songs that Celebrate Remarkable Women

Monday evenings, including most holidays, 7:30 pm -10 pm, First Parish Unitarian-Universalist, 630 Mass. Ave. Arlington Center. 02476 (street parking, MBTA, accessible) Sept through mid-May
