Coro Allegro Presents: Mozart Great Mass

Sun, November 19, 2017 @ 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm

$15 – $65

Join CORO ALLEGRO, Boston’s LGBTQ+ and allied classical chorus, as we kick off David Hodgkin’s 25th year as Artistic Director with “Mozart Great Mass” on  Sunday, November 19, 2017 at 3:00pm, Harvard University’s Sanders Theatre, 45 Quincy Street, Cambridge, MA.

The concert opens in celebration with Joseph Haydn’s scintillating Te Deum, No. 2, written for the Empress Maria Therese, then offers contemporary to classical prayers for peace of sublime luminosity.  Mozart’s Great Mass in C minor stuns with its solemnity, virtuosity and joy, drawing on the mastery of Handel and Bach and foreshadowing the great symphonic masses to come.
