Cambridge Community Chorus presents Howard Goodall’s Eternal Light: A Requiem

Fri, June 2, 2017 @ 8:00 pm - 9:30 pm

$15 – $25

Led by our inspiring Music Director Pamela Mindell, we’re proud to bring EMMY- and BAFTA-winning British composer Howard Goodall’s Eternal Light to local audiences.

At its New York premiere in Carnegie Hall, in September 2016, the work was described as “a journey of beauty, heartache, and in the end, hope.”

Listen to Movement 4

Listen to Movement 9

Also featured are David Dickau’s Stars I Shall Find; Richard St. Clair’s Heaven; Johannes Brahms’s O Schöne Nacht, and a setting of Longfellow’s poem “Daylight and Moonlight” specially written for the Chorus by organist, composer and our long-time former rehearsal accompanist Leonardo Ciampa.

We’re joined by a professional orchestra and acclaimed Boston-area soloists Jean Danton, soprano; Ethan Bremner, tenor; and Dana Whiteside, baritone.
