Michelle McGrath, Founder and President of Michelle McGrath PR, serving the arts and non-profit sectors, delves in to the challenges performing arts administrators and leaders face when aspiring to invigorate audience attendance at their performances and programs. An in-depth exploration delves into strategic case studies resulting from McGrath PR’s successful audience growth campaigns collaborating with clients Cape Cod Chamber Orchestra, Founding Music Director and Conductor Matthew Scinto, and Pilgrim Festival Chorus, William B. Richter, Co-Artistic Director and Conductor, appearing for this presentation at the conference.  Small group think-tank sessions on optimizing audiences for choral, instrumental and collaborative performances aid in cultivating new concepts while empowering attendees with tangible takeaway tactics for success.

About the Presenter
As a lifelong artist and musician, Michelle McGrath takes a creative approach to business as a designer, illustrator, instrumentalist and vocalist.  She adapted these principles in founding Michelle McGrath PR, a public relations company established in 2011, creating innovative marketing, social media, public relations and media relations solutions for clients in the arts, culture, non-profits and small business. With more than 20 years in the industry, Michelle has developed a niche firm through her love of the arts, continually redefining strategic methods to suit technological advances in media and communications, an applied art form!  Cultivated relationships with journalists at print, broadcast and digital media outlets, trade publications and wire services, from hyper local to nationwide, result in ample media recognition for more than 100 clients, including several choral and instrumental ensembles, performing arts organizations and cultural institutions. She is a devoted arts advocate, collaborating with, founding and serving on many of the region’s cultural committees and arts organizations, serving as a founder of Plymouth’s powerhouse Spire Center for Performing Arts, an appointment to originate Plymouth Bay Cultural District and serving on Scituate Cultural Council, both facets of Massachusetts Cultural Council. As a performing artist, she currently sings with Pilgrim Festival Chorus, the South Shore’s leading choral ensemble, and Friends in Song a cappella ensemble.  She previously served as parish organist for several Massachusetts churches, and as the founding Arts & Entertainment Correspondent for PACTV’s PCN Community News, the South Shore’s premiere regional television news program. Most recently, McGrath PR launched a new venture, PODSpark, a turnkey approach to podcast production and marketing solutions for clients with GreenCastle Video Productions.
