If you have ever wondered how those squares actually sound, or what those lines and squiggles actually mean, and how to look at a piece of music that seems more like art than a blueprint, join us.
If you’ve ever wondered how composers might be intrigued by this earliest of musical forms, and how that might influence the works they write, join us.
We’ll spend some time unlocking these ancient mysteries, and singing these beautiful, serene settings of psalms and biblical passages. We’ll learn about the various interpretations of the ancient neumes, and the controversy around their performance.

Re: Schedule of Member Meetings for 2011-2012

Another season, another reason.....and so your board of directors is now in the process of planning a year of interesting and informative meetings for this new season.
The meeting dates listed below are almost all confirmed at this point, so please do make a note of them. The meeting topics and speakers are still a work in progress. We will do our best to firm up the details as we are able.
FYI: our schedule for this year has changed slightly from last year. We have eliminated Thursdays from the rotation and added Mondays. So...in general, our meetings now rotate between Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons in the last week of the month, from September through June, excluding December.
We meet from 4pm - 5:30 pm, at All Saints Parish in Brookline, unless otherwise noted.
