| OPEN REHEARSALS! Try us out!! We will be singing sacred choral works by Sir C. Hubert H. Parry, Leo Sowerby, and Louis Verne, including traditional Christmas and Hanukah pieces. The Somerville Council on Aging, 167 Holland Street, Somerville, MA. Couple-minute walk from the Davis Square T, parking available. Enter through the Holland Street entrance. Anyone who loves to sing can join the Somerville Community Chorus! There are NO AUDITIONS and the membership dues are only $65 per season (including music). All voices are welcome, especially Tenors and Basses!!!! |

| Zamir Chorale of Boston, specializing in music from the Jewish traditions, will hold auditions for all voice parts on Sunday, September 23 from 7:00 to 10:00 p.m. at Hebrew College, 160 Herrick Road, Newton Centre. The auditions are by appointment only and must be scheduled in advance by calling the Zamir office at (617) 244-6333 or emailing aa@zamir.org. Candidates must have excellent vocal quality, the ability to sight-read music, and previous choral experience. In addition to the audition, candidates are required to attend open rehearsals at Hebrew College on September 11 and September 18 from 7:15 to 10:00 p.m. Rehearsals are held weekly from September through early June on Tuesdays at Hebrew College, from 7:15 to 10:00 p.m. Additional information available on our web site, www.zamir.org. |
