Georges Bizet, CARMEN. Carmen is deservedly one of the most popular and widely-performed operas ever written. Completed in 1874, it is one of the first operas to have a modern sensibility and realistic characters, alls et to a magnificent score that is full of the color and excitement of long-ago Spain. Featuring Victoria Livengood as Carmen, Adam Klein as Don José, Robert Honeysucker as Escamilllo, Nouné Karapetian as Micaela, and Philip Candilis as Zuniga.
