  Pilgrim Festival Chorus

William B. Richter, Music Director
type
60-70 voice SATB community chorus. Members come from many towns around Plymouth, as far west as Brockton, down to the Cape Cod Canal, and North to Scituate. Varied music, from light to serious.
repertoire
Very broad range of music, including serious, familar Oratorios. Folk songs; Operettas; interesting, lesser known music and songs in many languages. We are always looking for pieces that are challenging but will also pique the interest of an audience.
performances
Fall concert, usually with piano or organ and soloists. Join the Plymouth Philharmonic Orchestra for two Holiday Pops! concerts in early December. Spring 2-concert performance (April 2006: Brahms' German Requiem & 2 Mendelssohn pieces, all in German). Often hold a lighter Summer concert in June or July. Recent performances include Mendelssohn's Elijah; Handel's Messiah, Parts 2 & 3; The Wind in the Willows: an entertainment based on Kenneth Grahame's book set to music by Grant & Rutter.
rehearsals
Mondays 7:30-9:30 pm, Church of the Pilgrimage, Town Square (@Leyden and Main Streets) Downtown Plymouth.
