100+ voices, SATB, Newton Community Chorus is a non-profit corporation whose purpose is to educate its members in singing choral music, to encourage public understanding and appreciation of choral music as an art form, and to provide singers at all levels with equal opportunity to improve their vocal skills and participate in public performances of challenging choral works from the traditional and contemporary repertoire.

performances
All our concerts are with full orchestra and professional solists. one concert program before Christmas (this year Handel's "Messiah"), in early March this year we will perform Carl Orff's "Carmina Burana" with multiple choral groups and extra large orchestra, and in early June another performance (works TBD).
rehearsals
Fall and Spring Sessions with modest dues to cover music and orchetral/soloist costs. All rehearsals on Monday evenings 7:30 - 9:30 starting in September and ending in June held at Newton Country Day School,785 Centre Street, Newton, MA with ample free parking. Light snack & social break around 8:00 PM.
