35-40 voices, SATB, now in its 26th season, offers exciting and eclectic concert programs to connect audiences in Greater Boston with the best in choral music.
repertoire |
CMS seeks out innovative programming and creative collaborations. The music performed is carefully selected from the last 1000 years of choral masterworks, from medieval to modern, sacred and secular, with special emphasis on Renaissance and twentieth century music.
Part of the mission of CMS is the cultivation and performance of contemporary choral music. In 1997 CMS instituted the international Cambridge Madrigal Singers Composition Competition. CMS premieres the winning composition each Spring.

performances |
CMS performs two programs each year, one before the holidays and another in early May. This year's fall program will include the Durufle Requium and Poulenc Motets, while the spring program, which will include a tour, celebrates the Centennial of the MacDowell Colony.
