Audition Information

Boston Saengerfest Men’s Chorus - Monday evenings in January the 75 men of Boston Saengerfest Men’s Chorus are looking for candidates to join our ranks.  In 2010 music of Gershwin, Wales, Americana, the sea, opera, folk, art song, show tunes, in many concerts and venues.  Mondays 7 to 930, First Parish Church, 349 Boston Post Rd, Weston. Cantilena is extending auditions for our Spring Concert. We are seeking high sopranos and low altos, especially. We would love to have you audition for us; it is definitely not too late to join! We are holding auditions Monday January 25th after our rehearsal. We ask all auditionees to come and join us for rehearsal; after rehearsal, if you are interested in joining, we ask you to stay around for the audition. Rehearsal is from 7:30-10 pm at First Parish Arlington, 630 Mass. Ave, Arlington. The audition consists of checking your range, doing an ear-training exercise, doing a bit of sight-reading, and then asking you to sing "My Country 'Tis Of Thee." Convivium Musicum is looking for a tenor with significant choral experience to join our 20-voice mixed band of Renaissance singers, which has been performing in New England for over two decades and is now under the direction of Michael Barrett. Convivium is known especially for the breadth, intelligence, and creativity of its programs and the expressive range and ensemble of its performances. Performances in Boston, Cambridge, Brookline, Worcester, and Providence. The May 2010 concert series features works of astounding chromaticism by Lassus, Utendahl, Hassler, Rossi, and Gesualdo. Halalisa Singers - We are holding Open Rehearsals for the next two weeks and would be delighted to have you come and give us a try. Our next open rehearsal is on Monday, February 8th and 15th at 7:30pm - 9:30pm at the Hancock Church, 1912 Mass. Ave., Lexington. The open rehearsal goes like this: You'll sing with your section for the rehearsal and meet with the director for a brief audition afterwards to check your range and do a bit of sightreading from the repertoire covered in the rehearsal. Somerville Community Chorus, David Giessow, Music Director. Open Rehearsals for the 25th anniversary season of the Somerville Community Chorus Tue. Jan. 26 & Feb. 2, 7:15pm. Rehearsals are on the second floor of the Tufts Administration Building, located at 167 Holland Street, about half-way from Davis Square to Teele Square.
