Boston Saengerfest Men's Chorus - The tradition of great American glee clubs lives on! Boston Saengerfest Men's Chorus is holding open rehearsals for tenors, baritones and basses January 16 & 23, 2012 at 7pm at First Parish Church, 349 Boston Post Road, Weston, MA. The 70 member chorus continues its 20th season in the Boston area and want you to join us! Performing with a mission of encouraging youth choruses and a cappella groups, members bring joy and inspiration in a series of concerts throughout the year. After attending one or both open rehearsals, singers may audition by appointment. Previous choral singing experience and ability to read music is preferred but not required. The power of men's massed voices! All we are missing is your voice! For more information contact Tim Borchers, Membership Chair, at membership@saengerfest.org or by calling 508-846-8989. exp: 01/24/2012

The Oriana Consort seeks 4 tenors and 2 low basses. We are an accomplished chorale (8s-8a-4t-6b) with an ideal complement of 8 voices
on a part, an eclectic repertory, enthusiastic audiences, and a warm and
attractive sound. Sunday evening rehearsals began Jan. 8 in Cambridge
for March & April performances of works by Britten, Schütz, Braun, and
Rachmaninoff (7 of the 15 movements of his “All-Night Vigil”). Hear
clips from our performances at www.theorianaconsort.org. We seek singers
with clear, well-produced, and center-of-the-pitch voices, who are
good-to-excellent readers. We invite interested tenors and basses to
schedule a half-hour audition on Thu. Jan. 12 from 6:30 pm, Sat. Jan. 14
from 3:00 pm, Thu. Jan. 19 from 6:30 pm, or Sat. Jan. 21 from 3:00 pm.
Please email Walter Chapin at director@theorianaconsort.org, and include
a summary of your choral singing experience. For the audition you’ll
join a quartet of Oriana members to read excerpts from our repertory and
to sing a difficult but brief choral part that you’ll prepare 2 days in
advance. Please also bring a solo of your choice. exp:01/22/2012
